Fibre beds: In-plane permeability (NT POLY 183)

Abstract

  This test method is designed to measure the in-plane permeability of fibre beds with stationary fibres. The values obtained can be used for the development of, and comparison between, fibre beds used in areas such as manufacturing of fibre reinforced polymer composites and papermaking. The permeability is also an indispensable parameter for flow simulations in connection with these areas of application.
