Static torque meters: Calibration (NT MECH 024)

Abstract

  This NORDTEST method describes the calibration of torque measuring instruments of both mechanical and electrical types. Methods are included for the determination of

• linearity
• hysteresis
• repeatability
• uncertainty

The method covers calibrations in the range approx. 10-500 Nm. Only static torques are considered. This method does not cover the calibration of torque wrenches.
