Abstract
This Nordtest method specifies a test method and a method for the calculation of the effective thermal conductivity or thermal resistance for an insulation system for steel structures.
The thermal conductivity, calculated from the test results, is strictly related to the simplified equations used, and to the method by which the insulation is attached to the steel members, and should therefore not be considered as a true material parameter.
Rules for interpolation and extrapolation of the test results are given.
