Abstract

 

SCOPE

The present NORDTEST-method is intended primarely for testing the rain tightness of overlapping roofing materials on sloping roofs. The method is based on the principle of a combined rain- and windload and, if relevant, a pressure gradient over the roof covering.  

FIELD OF APPLICATION

The method is intended to examine the risk of water leakage through overlapping in roof coverings and through roof details used in connection with other building parts. The method is a laboratory method and may be applied to parts of roofs built in the test box.
