Abstract

1 SCOPE

This NORDTEST method specifies an accelerated performance test for paint coatings – expected to give maintenance intervals of at least 5 years on exterior woodwork, primarily joinery – for the purpose of evaluating their durability. Correlation with performance in use is still under evaluation and needs to be further supported by use of this test method.

2 FIELD OF APPLICATION

The method can be applied to paint materials/systems for protection of (planed) wood against natural weathering.
