Shotcrete: Frost resistance (NT BUILD 364)

Abstract

SCOPE

This method describes a means of determining the resistance of shotcrete to repeated freezing and thawing. Freezing takes place in contact with either a 3 % NaCl solution (method A) or water (method B).

APPLICATIONS

This method may be used for both preliminary investigations of shotcrete and for testing shotcrete from in situ structures.
