Large heat pumps: Field testing and presentation of performance (NT VVS 076)

Abstract

  This Nordtest method is intended to be used in the presentation and testing of performance primarily for large heat pumps. The method applies to in situ testing of large heat pumps which have been installed in an existing heating system. It is also applicable to delivery testing in the manufacturer’s plant or in similar circumstances. The method is primarily intended for electrically driven compression heat pumps. The relevant parts can, however, also be applied to heat pumps with other types of prime movers, and in cooling or refrigeration applications. The method does not include testing of electrical or mechanical safety, control equipment or sound power emissions.
