Electronic safety limit switch: Evaluation (NT ELEC 009)

Abstract

  The test procedures covered by this method are primarily intended for electronic safety limit switches used in lifting and transporting machinery. The aim of the requirements is to improve personal safety by ensuring the operational safety of the machinery. This method can also be used for testing electronic devices in industrial use intended for other measuring or limiting tasks, such as to control the level, the quantity and temperature of dangerous materials. This method does not impose requirements on external operational and switching devices connected to electronic safety switches and accessories (display units etc.), or other devices connected to the system, if they are not directly associated with the control of the safety operations.
