Abstract

Scope

This document specifies methods for measuring the A-weighted sound pressure level in rooms. The A-weighted sound pressure level is assumed to be due to noise from sources within the building. Guidelines for the correction of measurements made under one condition to values representative of other conditions are given in ANNEX A. ANNEX A is not an integral part of this method.

Field of application

The results obtained according to this document can be used to verify the fulfillment of building code regulations as to A-weighted sound pressure levels.
