Bituminous felts: Water content (NT BUILD 223)

Abstract

 

1 SCOPE

This NORDTEST method specifies a test method for the determination of the water content of bituminous felt. The result is intended to be used to check the conditioning of the test specimens for measurement of tensile and tearing strength.

2 FIELD OF APPLICATION

The method is applicable for testing the bituminous felts used for building and construction purposes. The method can also be used for the testing of roofing felt and building paper from existing roofs and constructions.
