Abstract

 

1. SCOPE

This Nordtest method specifies a set of testing methods for homogeneous polyethylene films.

2. FIELD OF APPLICATION

The test methods are chosen to indicate both the resistance to handling during transport, storage and installation of films used as vapour barrier, air penetration protection and similar applications and their durability during the intended life of the building. The proven usefulness of the aging method is limited to homogeneous polyethylene films suffering thermooxidative degradation in the dark.
