Reproducibility of measurements with ISO 140 and calculations with EN 12354 (NT TR 603)

NT TR 603

  • Uncertainties of measurement and prediction of the sound insulation in a building is an important issue to the building industry, because they put increased expenses on all actors of the building process who have to keep safety margins to prescribed requirements. This report deals with estimates of both types of uncertainty and some recommendations on suitable safety margins are given.

Density of loose-fill insulation material exposed to cyclic humidity conditions (NT TR 565)

NT TR 565

  • This report presents a proposal for a standardised method for creep tests and the empirical framework necessary for determining the density for volume-stable state of a granulated loose-fill material as a function of the applied stress when exposed to a climate characterised as cyclic humidity conditions.

Creep of granulated loose-fil insulation - Test method and round robin test (NT TR 491)

NT TR 491

  • This report presents a proposal for a standardised method for creep tests and the necessary theoretical framework that can be used to describe creep of a granulated loose-fill material. Furthermore results from a round robin test are shown.

Laboratory measurement of sound insulation in the frequency range 50 Hz to 160 Hz – A Nordic intercomparison (NT TR 489 - edition 1)

NT TR 489 - Edition 1

  • Five Nordic laboratories have carried through an intercomparison concerning laboratory measurements of sound insulation at low frequencies. Measurements have been carried out on two different test objects – a sandwich steel plate and a window - in the frequency range 50 Hz to 160 Hz according to ISO/DIS 15186-3, which describes a new test method based on intensity technique.

Insulation of steel structures: Fire protection (NT FIRE 021)

NT FIRE 021

  • This Nordtest method specifies a test method and a method for the calculation of the effective thermal conductivity or thermal resistance for an insulation system for steel structures.
